Yippee Mom is off today—so it’s like the weekend!!! A great day to relax and take it easy after a
long week at WDW. Mom has officially
fallen in love with Figaro—my vampire transgender cat… it’s the smallest adult
cat I have ever had so even though he is a boy we all call him a SHE, and he
has vampire fang teeth!!! He is sooo weird!! But she has been watching him
while we have been at WDW and is just smitten by him!!!!
We took the kids over to Wickham Park so they could ride
their bikes… it’s so sad that they do not get the opportunity in Vegas to ride
like they should. It’s embarrassing to
say but they both still have training wheels on…. it’s our goal that they will
be off by the end of the summer. They did great at the park!!!
Saturday June 23rd
Today was get up and go to Cape Canaveral. We are sending
the kids to space camp next year and we are thinking about renting a beach
house, and so before we rent we wanted to see if it is worth renting in Cape Canaveral.
So with Grandma in tow we were off. We got up to I dream of Jeannie Land in no
time. We were able to find the beach house, and we were lucky because the
manager was in and the cleaning crew just left. Wayne was more that happy to
let tour the two bedroom and us in house that is directly on the beach. WOW!!!!
We loved it. Cute and sweet and you can
walk right into the Atlantic Ocean from your backyard. Even Grandma loved it!!!
So maybe that will be our home for a week in July 2013!!
Then we drove around the port and did some sight seeing, we
saw the Cruise ships which are just a spectacular to see!! They are so big, and
you just want to get on and explore…. But alas we will hit the Disney Dream in
2013 as well—our first cruise as a family and BOY are we excited.
We lunched at FISHLIPS and were able to sit at the window by
the ocean and watch all the boats go up and down the pier!
Once we were home it was time to relax and then off to the
Brevard Zoo Summer Saturday Night program.
William was so excited he couldn’t sit still. It was raining a little so we got to see lots
of animals. Alligators, Crocodiles, Bald Eagles and the Rhinos!!! It’s such a
cute zoo. The kids are sooo looking forward to going to camp next week!! I am actually really excited for them!!! The
love this place! They were lucky and won a plastic glow in the dark star/wand.
Then they got to spin a prize wheel from the local radio station. William one a mug, Ricky won a free drink
from McDonalds, Daddy won a free Key Lime Pie and Mom won two free tickets to
the Brevard Manatees!!! YAHOOOOOO I know what we are doing for the 4th
of July!!!
Time to go home and get some rest, heading to week 2 at WDW
tomorrow!!!!
